Haine Yukigaya

Noble Violet

She is my first PPGZ OC. I love the color purple and violets, so I thought, 'Why not create my own PPGZ character?' That's how I came up with Haine.

Her family name, Yukigaya (雪ヶ谷), means 'snowy valley,' and I feel it perfectly complements both her personality and her PPGZ name, Violet.

The violet is a flower that blooms in early spring and is sometimes covered in snow, which resonates beautifully with her character.

Haine is inspired by the kanji 灰音 (ash sound) and 羽衣音 (feather garment sound). These names evoke a sense of fairy tales and fantasy, which I also feel is reflected in her family name, Yukigaya. It gives off a vibe similar to Cinderella or Snow White. I think her name is quite unique in Japan, but I really like it—it suits her perfectly.

Luna (るうな) was created to serve as a contrast to Haine. She not only highlights Haine’s struggles and character arc but also helps readers accept this fanfiction's premise—where original characters join the main team of PPGZ with equal powers.

Her last name, Torigoe(鳥越), reflects her love for jumping while she dances and connects to her father, a professional dancer whose graceful movements resemble a bird in flight.

You might wonder if the name Luna truly suits her personality. The moon often represents calmness and tranquility, which might seem at odds with Luna’s lively and outgoing nature. However, her name hints at a hidden side of her character. While she appears cheerful and optimistic, she has a past filled with heavy and painful experiences.
Haine and Luna complement each other’s traits.

If this fanfiction only featured Haine, the story would become heavy and serious, revolving around her struggle with the burden of becoming a hero.

On the other hand, if it were just Luna, the narrative would lack depth. Her ability to instantly bond with others and readily embrace her role as a hero without significant challenges would make her feel overly "Mary Sue-like," resulting in a lighter, less rewarding story.

That's why their PPGZ names don't start with "B" like the original girls, but with "V". This symbolizes that they are new members, and at the same time, it represents their unique individuality. It also shows that they are one unit—if either one were missing, they wouldn't be complete.
